This fall, the Jacobs Wellington Foundation awarded six grants to Wellington community groups totaling over $115,000. This round of grants focused on education in and around Wellington, particularly on S.T.E.M. (Science Technology Engineering and Math) education programs. The recipients and their programs being funded by the grants are:
Palm Beach Central High School – 9th grade S.T.E.M. program
South Florida Science Center and Aquarium – S.T.E.M.Science Passport program
Binks Forest Elementary School – S.T.E.M. Project Lead the Way program and technology
Wellington High School Debate Team – Technology updates
Elbridge Gale Elementary School – LEGO Education Robotics program
Wellington Landings Middle School – Technology updates
